New Hospital at Carson Valley Medical Center
Carson Valley’s first hospital opened in February 2004 at the Carson Valley Medical Center Barton Health in Gardnerville. The new Critical Access Hospital provides 15 acute-care beds with up to 96 hours of care for regular patients. Medical patients requiring hospitalization and non-intensive care patients scheduled for ambulatory procedures, as well as emergency referrals, can be treated in the hospital. In addition to the Critical Access Hospital, the Carson Valley Medical Center upgraded to state-of-the-art imaging units for both Computerized Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). New ultrasound and mammography machines were also added, bringing the highest quality of diagnostic services to the Carson Valley.
Minden Medical Center - Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare When you visit Carson Tahoe Minden Medical Center, you're getting for more than just access to comprehensive emergent care - a state-of-the-art approach to healthcare that combines the emergency care with the efficiency of urgent care. You're also getting access to the entire Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare System.
Med Direct A new Med Direct Urgent Care Center opened in the Sunridge Office Park in 2003. Residents with non-emergency needs can now go without an appointment, which helps alleviate congestion in the hospital’s emergency room and provides another place for residents to receive necessary medical care. Plans are currently underway to develop a second urgent care unit to serve south Douglas County.
