    Military to the Mountains Injured Veterans Arrive at Reno-Tahoe International Airport Sunday
     
    What:  Welcome 22 disabled U.S. military veterans and celebrate their heroic efforts as we send them off to a week-long adaptive ski program, Military to the Mountains. These disabled veteran athletes will participate in adaptive skiing at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows as part of their physical and emotional recovery program.
     
    Who: Join 22 U.S. military veterans participating in the Military to the Mountains program, eight of whom are from the Reno-Tahoe area; David Vobora Founder of the Adaptive Training Foundation; Roy Tuscany and members of the High Fives Foundation, Airport Officials and Paws 4 Passengers therapy dogs. The public is welcome to attend.
     
    When:  Sunday, March 11th at 7:45 p.m.
                    Flight is scheduled to arrive at 8:03 p.m.
     
    Where: Reno-Tahoe International Airport Ski Statue
                    News Media meet at 7:45 p.m. at the ski statue to be escorted upstairs to the gate for footage of the veterans’ arrival.
     
    The high-energy event will include drummers and an electric guitarist. Following a processional from the gate to the ski statue, the veterans will be formally recognized for their military service and their efforts to continue their recovery from devastating injuries.
