Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction was developed at the University of Massachusetts by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. With over 30 years of research, this program has proven results. Within this 8-week course, you will learn tools that will help you approach your life with more composure, energy, understanding and enthusiasm. Through learning mindful meditation techniques, you will develop more capacity for coping with short and long-term stressors in your life. In addition, this program can help people to develop the ability to manage and reduce pain levels. Through weekly homework, you will improve your focus, resilience and capacity to recover more quickly from life’s challenges. This class meets weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6-8 PM, beginning March 26, 2019 and running through May 14, 2019. There will also be one all-day retreat from 9:30-3:30 on May 4, 2019.
