    Transparency Portal On the Agenda

     

    At our September luncheon, we will take a dive into Douglas County's finances with the help of County Chief Finance Officer Vicki Moore and County Chief Technology Officer Sherri McGee. The County recently launched the OpenGov portal, which allows the public access to Douglas County’s new Transparency Portal.

    The portal empowers government officials and staff to conduct better analysis and performance measurement by improving access to key financial and non-financial data. The new site also allows local residents to compare the County’s annual budget vs. actual spending, and other financial reports through the OpenGov link. Residents can instantly find answers to frequently asked questions such as, “What is the County spending on salaries?” and the public can also download the data to review and easily share over email and social media.

    Our Business of the Month is the Great Minden Tahoe Airport and Bobbi Thompson will have the latest updates on the upcoming (October 7 & 8) performances of the USAF Thunderbirds and the rest of the Aviation Roundup lineup.
